Experience The Healing Power Of Music!
Response to last month’s presentation was so outstanding we’re doing it again!
The Journey is a rock musical that tells the story of overcoming addiction and finding a new life in recovery.
See how it is used in treatment to help clients learn more about the recovery process as they relate their own stories to the songs. Join us for this fascinating way of experiencing the recovery process through the powerful songwriting and musical performance by Jim Savage. Treatment clients welcome to attend!
Jim Savage is a Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselor who has specialized in adolescent substance abuse treatment since 1984. He has been using The Journey for over 20 years to provide a powerful way for substance abuse clients to relate on an emotional level to the challenges of overcoming an addiction problem. From childhood memories through the struggles of growing up and assuming an adult identity, The Journey tells a story that everyone can relate to, and presents an inspiring message about the hope that comes with recovery.

In addition to his clinical skills, Jim Savage is an accomplished professional musician. An original member of Hard Night’s Day, the popular Dallas-based Beatles cover band, Jim’s notable “John Lennon sound” adds a decidedly Beatles influence to the music, while his guitar work leans more towards a Pink Floyd/Hendrix/Clapton kind of sound.
