Program Narrative
New River Wellness Center provides individualized substance abuse and co-occurring disorder treatment programs exclusively for women. New River Wellness Center offers cutting-edge clinical treatment services in an environment that allows the recovering woman to embrace her new journey of recovery. Our women reside in downtown Fort Lauderdale in historic Victoria Park, only minutes from the beach and multiple meeting sites. New River Wellness provides a full continuum of treatment services promoting continuous recovery management. In specific, we offer high-quality Partial Hospitalization, Intensive Outpatient, Outpatient, and Alumni Programs aimed at the development of structure and healing. Our comprehensive programs allow our clients to achieve a better life through individualized therapeutic services, holistic healing, and the development of life-management skills. Our professional team is dedicated to providing the utmost competent, compassionate, and comprehensive care. We strive to create a nurturing environment that promotes acceptance, discovery, empowerment and hope. The staff of New River Wellness Center consists of: psychiatrists; doctorate and masters level clinicians, certified addiction professionals, support staff and licensed ancillary practitioners. We recognize addiction as a medical disease, therefore, clients have daily medical consultations with our onsite Psychiatrist. We pride ourselves on the consistent use of evidenced-based clinical practices and our ability to be ethically transparent. Core competencies are rooted in a trauma-informed, relational approach to gender-responsive treatment providing our clients researched based modalities proven to increase our efficacy as a treatment provider. To ensure we are aligned with our mission of aiding the recovering woman in her new found sobriety, we continuously engage in training and continuing education. New River Wellness Center operates within a multi-disciplinary treatment team approach utilizing holistic therapies and modalities including recovery-based yoga, acupuncture, expressive arts therapy, and recreational therapy. Our goal is to aid in the identification of core issues and initiate the healing process. Our treatment team focuses on the roots of addiction and the underlying issues contributing to the client’s primary diagnosis. Our highly individualized approach, as well as our intimate program setting, has aided New River Wellness Center in achieving an ongoing reputation for great success in drug addiction recovery. Throughout our mission to implement and individualize our treatment approach to the specific nature of our clients, we are afforded the opportunity to witness great positive and lasting change in our clients. We believe in the development of the whole woman, and promote the best comprehensive approach to insure recovery and continued sobriety from the rehabilitation services provided.
