Currently we only have 1,288 people who have signed the online poll of support. We are asking that you push this out to your employees and email lists and encourage everyone to sign up.
In order to meet our goal of at least 5,000 people by next week's rally on March 9th, PLEASE COMPLETE THE POLL NO LATER THAN COB MARCH 8.
On Wednesday, March 9th FADAA, FCCMH and partner organizations will join forces and host a "Rally at the Capitol" to educate policy members on the importance of mental health and substance abuse services to each of Florida's communities and urge them to keep funding intact to continue providing these vital services throughout the state. The rally will take place during this year's 2011 Behavioral Health Day on the front steps of the Old Capitol and will be a part of day-long festivities that include:
NAMI Walk: 10:00am, starting at the Old Capitol
Behavioral Health Day Rally: 11:30am (steps of Old Capitol)
Behavioral Health Day Reception: 5:30pm - 7:00pm on the 22nd floor of the Capitol
Visiting Legislators - All day
We would like to collect data from each area of the state to report back to state legislators on the number of people in the communities that support mental health and substance abuse services.
