Friday, July 29, 2011 Registration: 8:00 AM Track 1: 9 am - 5 pm Integrating Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders: An Introduction to What Every Addiction Counselor Needs to Know Mary Woods, RNC, LADC, MSHS A skill-based training program that will help addiction counselors improve their ability to assist clients who have co-occurring disorders, within their scope of practice. This educational program is designed for those who do not have a significant background with co-occurring disorders. Track 2: 9 am - 5 pm Substance Abuse Training for Addiction and Other Helping Professionals Ruth Johnson Saturday, July 30, 2011 Registration: 8:00 AM track 1: 9 am - 5 pm Conflict Resolution in Recovery Cynthia Moreno Tuohy, NCAC II, CCDC III, SAP This is a therapeutic training that is skilled-based and focused on the brain; how the brain works in conflict and strategies to affect the quality of recovery in relationships. This seminar has been designed to help reduce relapse and sustain recovery.
