CONFERENCE DESCRIPTION: Ben Franklin Institute, producer of The Summit for Clinical Excellence Conference is the premier provider of continuing education for behavioral health, mental health and addiction professionals. We bring together the best and brightest trainers from many disciplines offering a broader perspective; to help our therapists and counselors better address the issues that their client is facing day to day. CONFERENCE OBJECTIVES: 1.To identify specific diagnostic and treatment approaches, counseling skills and modalities, that can be applied to the fields of mental health, behavioral health and addictions; for successfully treating young adults, adolescents and their families. 2.Issues to be covered will include: psychological resistance, entitlement, social media (igeneration) and cultural diversity, bullying, addictions, anger, resiliency, dual disorders, experiential therapies, treatment for suicide and depression, self defeating behaviors, trauma and abuse. 3.To learn symptoms and characteristics of the disorders mentioned in objective #2 and how they have interfered with the clients interpersonal and family relationships. To participate in skill building workshops and unique training that offers cognitive, experiential clinical techniques; to assist in patient/client recovery for these listed symptoms and disorders.
