View / Download ASAM Guidelines
was developed to promote evidence-based clinical treatment of opioid use disorder and to assist physicians in the decision-making process for prescribing pharmacotherapies to patients with opioid use disorder.
Methodology: The guideline was developed with support from Treatment Research Institute (TRI) using a modified RAND/UCLA Appropriateness Method (RAM), a process that combines scientific evidence and clinical knowledge to determine the appropriateness of a set of clinical procedures. A Guideline Committee comprised of ten experts from multiple disciplines, including internal medicine, addiction medicine, psychiatry, pain medicine and obstetrics/gynecology, reviewed treatment scenarios and assisted in the development and writing of the guideline.
Instructions: Register for the upcoming 1 hour webinar. Join the webinar at the designated time. Upon completion of the webinar, answer the test questions for CME credit.
Target Audience
This webinar is primarily intended for clinicians involved in evaluating patients and providing authorization for pharmacological treatments at any level.
