Non-members of NAADAC or Non-subscribers of AccuCare receive 2 CEs for $25. All applicants for CE credit are required to complete the “CE Quiz†after the presentation and submit it to NAADAC for grading, along with the processing fee, if applicable. A CE certificate will be emailed to you within 30 days. Description: As the profession evolves, counselors and supervisors are being asked to provide addiction-related services in less time with fewer resources. Clinical supervisors are expected to carefully monitor the services their counselors are delivering in an effort to maximize each treatment opportunity and to maintain the safety of their clients. Clinical Supervision: Keys to Success is a skill-based training for those professionals who wish to expand their knowledge of clinical supervision within the addiction profession. This presentation will outline for participants elements of effective clinical supervision, current models of clinical supervision and legal and ethical issues clinical supervisors may encounter. At the end of the live presentation, participants will be able to ask questions of the presenter and receive immediate answers. Learning Objectives: As a result of participating in this webinar, you will learn: The elements of effective clinical supervision; Models of clinical supervision; Legal and ethical issues relating to clinical supervision. Presenter: Tom Durham Thomas G. Durham, PhD, LADC, CCS, is the former Executive Director of The Danya Institute and Project Director of the Central East Addiction Technology Transfer Center (ATTC) in Silver Spring, MD. He also manages the Clinical Preceptorship Program, a system-wide network of clinical supervision for alcohol and drug counselors throughout the U.S. Navy. In addition, Tom is an assistant professor at Northcentral University where he teaches graduate level courses in alcohol and drug counseling. Tom has written several workbooks, training guides and online courses for addiction treatment professionals, including NAADAC’s independent study course for clinical supervisors.
