Joins us at the Advocacy in Action Conference in Washington D.C. - PAC Tickets are Available

As is our tradition, NAADAC PAC will host a reception and live auction on Thursday, September 9th from 6:00 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. to raise money for NAADAC’s political action committee. The reception will feature musician and songwriter John McAndrew (pictured above).  Heavy hors d’oouevres will be served.  A $35 per ticket donation is suggested.

NAADAC PAC supports candidates committed to the issues most important to addiction professionals, such as workforce development and increased funding for alcohol and drug prevention and treatment.  Our PAC is an invaluable tool that helps us build political support for the issues most important to NAADAC members. For example, NAADAC PAC has supported the candidates who promoted the Paul Wellstone Mental Health and Addiction Equity Act (also known as the “parity” act), which ended insurance discrimination against people with addiction.

We at NAADAC Political Action Committee (PAC) are excitedly planning for the upcoming Advocacy in Action Conference to be held in conjunction with the first annual National Conference on Addiction Disorders (NCAD) at the Hyatt Regency- Crystal City, Arlington, Virginia, September 8-11, 2010.

To purchase a ticket to this event, please contact NAADAC at 800.548.0497 or [email protected] .
