Florida Partners in Crisis is hosting a competitive shooting match on Friday, October 28 at the Port Malabar Rifle & Pistol Club in Palm Bay, Florida.
Florida Partners in Crisis is a statewide advocacy organization working to reduce the involvement of individuals with substance use and mental health disorders with the criminal justice system. Our members support recovery through appropriate treatment, medication, supportive housing, transportation, vocational and employment services.
Partners’ initiatives include legislative advocacy and education, specialized training for law enforcement first responders and continuing education courses for judges and attorneys to provide a better understanding of these disorders, their associated behaviors, co-occurring disorders and recovery.
Sponsorships and vendor space are available, details can be found on the event website at www.performanceshootingchallenge.org or by calling 321-453-8825. The competition is open to the public and will include law enforcement as well as civilian competitors and spectators.
Approximately 150 attendees from law enforcement, treatment providers, consumers, the court system and the general public are expected for the event. Funds raised will be used to support the development of educational materials for our Justice Institute initiative
