Faces & Voices of Recovery is pleased to announce the 2011 America Honors Recovery honorees, saluting the legacies of two dynamic recovery trailblazers who dedicated their lives to removing barriers for individuals and families affected by addiction: Johnson Institute founder, Dr. Vernon E. Johnson, and recovery advocate, Joel Hernandez. The 2011 America Honors Recovery honorees are: The Joel Hernandez Award: The McShin Foundation, Richmond, VA. The Vernon Johnson Award: Mike Barry, People Advocating Recovery, Kentucky; Jim Gillen, Anchor Recovery Community Center, Rhode Island; and Roland Lamb, Office of Addiction Services, Philadelphia Department of Behavioral Health, Pennsylvania. Meet these recovery pioneers at the 2011 America Honors Recovery reception and join other leaders of the nation's addiction recovery movement to celebrate the outstanding achievements of these honorees. The reception is from 6:00-8:00pm on June 22nd in Washington, DC.
