More about Recovery Plus

In response to requests, the inaugural Recovery Plus highly-specialised training in how to help people recover from addictive substances and behaviours was dedicated to healthcare workers. For families and for therapists seeking a second career, intervention workshops take place the following day.

Gain CEUs/CPDs, attendance certificate… Be confident in handling clients with esoteric needs… Know when to refer and who you can safely refer to… Create a support network… Meet new colleagues and old friends!

Save time, save lives…

In the course of your work, do you increasingly encounter patients/clients with alcohol or drug problems or addictive behaviours? Are you confident that you are doing the best for them – and yourself, that you are following best practice? If your answers are “yes”, “no” and “no”, then this intense fully-rounded ‘crash course’ in how to recover from addiction is for you. You will meet more people and learn more at Recovery Plus than you could from months of research.

The day is packed, to make the most of your time. We will also give you documentation to refer back to.

Conferences are what you make of them. Conversations can be more valuable than the sessions, no matter how excellent. So, to nurture networking and help you forge contacts useful for your work, we are limiting Recovery Plus to one stream of trainer presentations, so that delegates are seated with each other for most of the day and can see at any time who is joining them and sharing the experience.

As well as meeting potential colleagues and old friends, take a social wander round the exhibitor stands at Recovery Plus. These offer opportunities to chat with the companies involved as well as with fellow attendees interested in what they offer. Lunch is in the Hilton’s Palm Court which offers more opportunities to meet people.

All delegates will receive an attendance certificate. Also, the inaugural Recovery Plus was awarded gold-standard IC&RC internationally-recognised continuing education units/credits and we are, of course, applying for these with the new event. If you find that one of the topics is of particular interest and wish to learn more, we will source or organise dedicated workshops. We will also publish a supplement to the Recovery Plus conference that you can use as a handy reference in your professional library.

Finally, if you are staying overnight in London for the conference, we have negotiated a discount off the usual cost of staying at the Hilton.
