Statement of Educational Need To educate interdisciplinary health care professionals about the assessment and treatment of those affected by disordered eating and common comorbid illnesses. Statement of Learning Objectives 1) Identify factors that may support development or impede the treatment of anorexia, bulimia, and binge eating disorder 2) Describe and discuss recommended treatment techniques in order to enhance recovery and relapse prevention strategies in those with disordered eating behaviors 3) Discuss the importance of the patient/ client’s relationship with his/her treatment providers in achieving recovery and supporting relapse prevention 4) Identify potential comorbidities that may affect treatment needs and/or outcomes 5) Describe and discuss how disordered eating affects brain development and pharmacological interventions that support recovery
