Self Run, Self Supported, Addiction Recovery Houses

 Save The Date

2014 Annual Convention in Portland, Oregon

September 11 – 14, 2014

"Oxford House - Building Community"

Now in its 39th year, the national network of self-run, self-supported Oxford Houses has proven that recovery without relapse can be the norm. This year's convention theme is Building Community. "Building Community" is something that Oxford House residents do every day -- in their Houses, their Chapters, their State Associations and their neighborhoods. The time-tested concept and system of operation of Oxford House is geared toward transforming addicts into sober productive citizens benefiting themselves and society at large.

The convention program follows the high standards of previous conventions and will feature presentations by a broad range of government and private sector leaders in the drug and alcohol field; Oxford House residents, alumni and staff; legal and medical experts; and others. General Sessions will feature major keynote addresses and breakout panels will discuss particular topics such as medication in Oxford Houses, re-entry from jail, research results, veterans' programs, legal issues and many other topics. Social events and networking opportunities are also provided.

Convention participants will include Oxford House residents and alumni, state and federal government officials, treatment providers, representatives of private organizations working with Oxford Houses, landlords and friends of Oxford Houses. Continuing education credit will also be available for participants of the convention.
